Here are a sampling of the clubs and contests for teenagers in S.T.E.M.

Technology Student Association (link)
(TSA)
Technology Student Association is a organization dedicated to helping teens explore S.T.E.M. TSA offers contests in many areas, including: Digital Photography, Essays on Technology, Dragster Design, and more. See if your school has a TSA club, or start one!
Math Counts (link)
Math Counts promotes students' mathematical ability through worksheets & competitions, which range from problem-solving events to video challenges. To participate: find or start a local chapter.
Intel (link)
Intel ISEF is a science-fair competition for high-school students, and aims to cultivate students' science interests. To participate, talk to your science teacher or your school's activity organizer. Besides the science fair, Intel has the STS competition, which awards seniors with $150,000 based on their current scientific research.
The DuPont Challenge (link)
The Dupont Challenge is an essay contest ranging from grades K-12. K-5 Entries are to create a storybook detailing science's impact on the world. The contest for grades 6-12 is an essay relating to one of four topics: food, energy, protection, or innovation. To participate, find a teacher sponsor and start drafting!
Verizon Innovative App Challenge (link)
The App Challenge required teams to create an app that benefits our world. Teams of 5-7 members made up of adolescents of the grades 6-12 can enter with their school. Entrants do not have to code an app, the challenge only needs the concept to be submitted. To participate, find a team advisor who is over 18. Winners will receive coding lessons from MIT and can win up to $15,000 to work on their app.
